I have learned many things during the 3 weeks I’m here in NYC. There are many differences between American and Brazilian. The one I want to share is how people from NYC like to read. They read at the subway, they read at the parks, they read everywhere! It’s amazing!
In Brazil people usually read for specific purposes. Unfortunately, reading is far from being the Brazilians’ preference.
I love reading novels. I had improved my vocabulary a lot through this kind of reading because they bring many different words. Especially when I was a teenager, this kind of reading helped me a lot in learning new vocabulary, and I also “visited” many places through reading.
